Изначально агент доступен для пользователей планов Pro, Enterprise и Team, поддержку Plus и Edu команда обещает «в ближайшее время». «Codex может читать и редактировать файлы, а также запускать команды, включая тестовые обвязки, линтеры и средства проверки типов. Выполнение задачи обычно занимает от минуты до получаса в зависимости от сложности», — говорится в описании. Каждая задача обрабатывается в предварительно загруженной изолированной среде. Пользователи могут проверять работу Codex с помощью цитат, логов терминала и результатов тестов. В случае неопределенности или неудач агент сообщает о проблемах для принятия решения о дальнейших действиях, уточнили в OpenAI. «Как и разработчики-люди, агенты лучше всего работают, когда им предоставлены настроенные среды, надежные настройки тестирования и понятная документация», — подчеркнула команда.
